Last night over fifty people squeezed into the barn at The Punter in Cambridge to witness the inaugural Salt Cellars reading event. Ten Salt authors read a mixture of poetry and short stories to a captivated audience.
Chris began the evening by saying a few words about the Salt Cellars initiative. Whilst people rustled through the doors, the atmosphere elevated in anticipation as the first reading was introduced. Standing room only accompanied the majority of the night, with a healthy crowd at the back of the room jostling for a good view.
The evening ended with a small open-mic session, and a sense of pride and achievement from all the Salt crew for what was a very successful evening.
Our many thanks go to all the readers, to Andrea Porter for helping to organise the event, and to Ian Cartland for the use of his PA system. Not to mention The Punter for providing such a great venue.
Look out for more photographs and videos which are on their way soon.
