Why The Lighthouse should win the 2012 Booker Prize – video

Richard Lea argues that Alison Moore’s debut novel, The Lighthouse, should win this year’s Man Booker prize. Though it begins aboard a ferry, the lighthouse in question is a bottle of perfume, and smell is a key element of the book: from beef and onion pie, through hotel disinfectant, to the violet scent within the titular bottle.
